Named after a coastal suburb of Dublin in Ireland, Clontarf is a suburb of the Moreton Bay Region in the south-west of the Redcliffe peninsula, approximately 29 kilometres north-northeast of Brisbane. Pelican Park is known for its kite flying conditions, and on weekends many kites can be seen flying above Clontarf from the Hornibrook Bridge.

Features: The Redcliffe Visitor Information Centre is located in Pelican Park and visitors can watch pelican feeding at 10am daily. Pelican Park also has a half -court basketball and is a popular spot for kite flying and kite surfing. Jet skiing is permitted at Bells Beach. Pelican Park is also home to the Liberty Swing - a revolutionary concept in playground equipment for people in electric or standard type wheelchairs. Dogs on leads are permitted on the beach. Facilities include barbeques, covered picnic tables, boat ramp, play equipment, bikeways, toilets & disabled access.
Keys to the liberty swing are available from the information booth located just in front of the playground
