106-year-old Washington DC resident, Virginia McLaurin, fulfilled her dream this week — meeting US President Barack Obama for the first time.

Virginia, who used to work with students with severe mental and physical disabilities, was invited to the White House for 2016’s Black History Month celebrations where she met Barack Obama and the First Lady, Michelle Obama, for the very first time.

The White House posted a video of the meeting on Facebook, showing the very energetic 106-year-old giggling and dancing with the president.

“I thought I’d never live to get in the White House and I tell you I am so happy! A black President and a black wife and I’m here to celebrate black history!” Virginia says.
