A second Brisbane constable has been stood down from duty, this time over alleged drink driving and unprofessional conduct.

A senior Brisbane police constable has been stood down as he is investigated over drink driving.

The 39-year-old man is also being investigated for alleged unprofessional conduct towards fellow officers.

Earlier on Thursday, the Queensland Police Service announced a 41-year-old first-year constable from Brisbane had also been stood down from duty.

Police said he was “the subject of an investigation relating to an incident of domestic violence”, but did not reveal further details.

“This does not mean that any allegation against the officer has been substantiated,” it said in a statement on both matters.
