Essendon have recalled giant forward Tom Bellchambers for Friday night’s crucial clash with AFL pacesetters Sydney at the SCG.
The 202cm, 108kg Bellchambers, who has battled an ankle injury and hasn’t played at AFL level since June 21, has been named at full-forward. He replaces Michael Hibberd who has an hamstring complaint.
Essendon, who go into round 19 in seventh spot, will face a Swans side strengthened by the return of premiership back pocket Rhyce Shaw. Jeremy Laidler has been dropped.
