A man is due to face a Queensland court accused of using a baseball bat to damage dozens of cars.
A man has been charged with using a baseball bat to smash up 40 vehicles at two Queensland car yards.
The man went on a rampage at neighbouring car yards at Noosaville, on the Sunshine Coast, last week. He smashed car mirrors, windows, lights and body panels.
Gary Ogilvy, who manages the Cricks car yard, said the man damaged at least eight cars at the business.
Madill Used Cars next door fared worse, with the remainder of the vehicles damaged there.
Mr Ogilvy told AAP the motive for the incident remained a mystery, and the man did not try to steal the vehicles or anything from the cars.
A 29-year-old man had been charged with two counts of wilful damage, police said on Monday. He will face the Brisbane Magistrates Court later in the day.
