Two men have been charged with the attempted murder of a police officer who was hit by a car at a random breath testing station at Ipswich, west of Brisbane.
Police will allege the men were in the vehicle when it turned sharply to avoid a breath test and struck the male officer before speeding off.
The officer was thrown a short distance by the impact, injuring his elbow and knee.
Police have charged two Ipswich men, aged 20 and 23, with one count each of attempted murder, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and attempting to pervert justice.
They are expected to face the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday.
