Queensland police have uncovered a collection of guns, drugs and explosives after stopping to speak with a suspicious man in a Brisbane industrial area.

A man loitering in a Brisbane industrial area with a gun has allegedly led police to a cache of firearms, drugs and ammunition.

Officers patrolling High St in Kippa Ring, in Brisbane’s north, on Sunday morning spotted a man near some industrial sheds.

When they spoke to him they allegedly found him in possession of a firearm.

A search of the nearby sheds and the man’s home at Albany Creek uncovered another 11 firearms, explosives and some ammunition, police say.

Drugs, including methylamphetamine, cannabis and steroids were also found.

The 43-year-old has been charged with weapons and drugs offences and will appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on April 28.
