Police are hunting an armed robber believed to be responsible for a hold-up at a gaming venue and the attempted robbery of a nearby bank in inner Brisbane
An armed robber who allegedly held up a Brisbane gaming venue and tried to rob a nearby bank is being hunted by police.
The man claimed to have a gun when he entered a gaming room at Hamilton, in inner Brisbane, and demanded cash from the attendant behind the counter on December 30.
A nearby bank was targeted, police believe, by the same man wielding what appeared to be a firearm on January 9.
However, he left empty-handed after a bank employee activated an alarm system.
Police say the man in both incidents is white, in his 30s and of proportionate build.
