When Tony Abbott said that repealing the carbon tax was his top achievement as the Minister for Women, you just knew Twitter was going to react.
During an interview on The Today Show yesterday morning, the Prime Minister was asked what he considered his top achievement as the Minister for Women.
“Well, you know, it is very important to do the right thing by families and households,” said the PM, conflating women’s issues with family and household issues. “As many of us know, women are particularly focused on the household budget and the repeal of the carbon tax means a $550 a year benefit for the average family.”
