You’ve probably binge-watched Stranger Things by now, or at least had every single person in your friendship circle tell you that you should binge-watch Stranger Things. Now you’ve got a chance to party to the music featured in the hit Netflix show.
Now firmly established as the most popular Netflix show ever, The Duffer Brothers’ Stranger Things is a brilliant homage to ’80s pop culture, particularly the films of Steven Spielberg and John Carpenter and the books of Stephen King, although that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Since the release of Stranger Things last month, there’s been a surge in interest in the ’80s tunes that make up the show’s soundtrack, as well as its eerie, synth-heavy score.
Barbara, a small but extremely stylish bar located in the McWhirters Building in Fortitude Valley, will tap into that ’80s synth revival with their Stranger Things-themed party, featuring DJs Mitch ‘Eleven’ Exton and Adrian ‘Hawkins PD’ Price.
Essentially, it’s a chance to get your groove on to tunes like these, while enjoying an impressive selection of craft beers, including the venue’s own signature brew.
The Stranger Things party will be held at Barbara (105/38 Warner Street, Fortitude Valley) on Saturday 20 August from 9pm; entry is free.
