Etsy creatives are encouraging Brisbane residents to look locally for Christmas gifts this year, as they hold their Etsy Made Local Market in Brisbane this month.
Held at Brisbane City Hall, the market is part of a national one-day event that will see Australian cities from coast to coast celebrating the makers, designers and collectors that make up the creative community selling on Etsy.com, the online marketplace for handmade and vintage goods.
More than 70 local Etsy sellers will be selling at the market, with products ranging from unique jewellery to home-wares.
“Etsy already has such a powerful online presence,” says local Etsy seller Kirsten Devitt, of jewellery brand Each to Own, “so for us to be able to showcase the best of Brisbane’s online Etsy sellers in a one day event is a unique opportunity for the greater community to see the fantastic pool of artisans which call Brisbane home.”
The event will also include hands-on workshops, artist demonstrations and a gift-wrapping service.
Sound’ like a great place to find unique, affordable and meaningful gifts for your loved ones! So, why not get your Christmas shopping done early this year?
The Etsy Made Local Market will be held on Saturday 28 November at Brisbane City Hall. For more information visit our event guide.
