Valley Fiesta is set to bring Fortitude Valley to life on Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October, with a festival full of music, food and art.
Now in its 19th year, the Fiesta will host more than 60 music acts, a showcase of arts, food and cultural experiences across Valley streets, malls and laneways.
Event Organiser Murray Sutherland of Kinetic Events, says this year’s event will be more than just a street party.
“We will be showcasing Fortitude Valley’s thriving cultural scene.”
“The massive three-day program will include pop-up bars, the Fiesta Feast in Chinatown showcasing some of the Valley’s top restaurants, special laneway events, the infamous Valley Markets, street theatre, interactive public art and photography exhibitions and a whole lot more.”
“By broadening the scope of the event, the Fiesta will celebrate the Valley’s art and culinary offering, as well the music scene it is renowned for.”
This year, the event has an incredible music lineup which will be headlined by Australian indie pop band Alpine, with other major acts featured across the weekend including Art vs Science, Asta, Kilter, Young Franco – with more to be announced.
The lineup also has a strong Brisbane presence with The Cairos, Gill Bates, Feki, The Jensens, Torfason, Baskervillain and The Missing taking the stage alongside a special QMA showcase with Halfway, WAAX, Michelle Xen, Electrik Lemonade and Leanne Tennant.
