Suncorp Stadium is set to become Celebration Central over the weekend for the Brisbane Global Rugby Tens with a line-up of party stations, Cool Zones, DJ areas and more for fans to revel in, supporting the world class rugby action on the field.

Ten Australian and New Zealand Super Rugby clubs and four elite invitational teams — Toulon (France), the Blue Bulls (South Africa) and the Panasonic Wild Knights (Japan) — will compete in 28 matches over two days.

It’s the only time fans will see all Australian and NZ Super Rugby franchises in one place at one time, and it’s the largest collection of current star rugby players (300+) that will gather in one place at one time outside the Rugby World Cup.

Featuring a similar structure to the 15-a-side game, but with more space on the field for players to showcase their skills, Tens rugby is the perfect format for what will be a hugely entertaining launch of the Super Rugby season in Brisbane.

Celebration stations will include:

Heineken Hill: Party central for the Brisbane Global Rugby Tens, 1400 fans seated together on the north-west corner of the stadium. There will be dress-up competitions, live DJ, plus much more. The first release of Heineken Hill sold out quickly, and the second release is set to sell out before the tournament. Once these are gone, they’re gone.

Heineken Beer Garden: If you haven’t got tickets to enjoy the action pitchside, celebrate at the northern plaza. Outside the stadium from 12noon DJ pumping tunes for the crowd, an assortment of food trucks and live entertainment and a big screen with all the footy action.

Brisbane Global Tens Plaza: The northern plaza outside Suncorp Stadium will come to life with a live Triple M outside broadcast, plus plenty of kids’ activities, food outlets and merchandise displays.

Stadium Cool Zones: For those who need to take a break and cool off! Located on the concourse on level 3, there will be plenty of shady areas complete with misting fans for fans to chill.

Lazy Bear Lounge: For those who fancy a pub classic, why not try Bundaberg’s Lazy Bear – a mid-strength rum, lime and dry. Laze about on bean bags and lounges for the ultimate chilled vibe.

Heineken House: Located in the fanatic’s bar behind Heineken Hill. With all ticket holders welcome, this is the perfect cool down hideout bar with a crowd DJ.

Shade Zones: If you need a break from the sun, open standing areas and decks are offer right across the stadium to watch the action from the shade.

Nightlife and Spotify will also bring a Crowd DJ feature to life at the event, where ticketholders choose the tunes on the stadium wide PA, in the beer garden and in selected stadium bars direct from your Spotify playlist. Throughout the tournament, Crowd DJ will be used for fans to select key songs — imagine choosing the track that will play when the QLD Reds run onto the field for their first game!

To be held annually, the Brisbane Global Rugby Tens event is sanctioned by the Australian Rugby Union and New Zealand Rugby and will be broadcast live across Australia, New Zealand, UK, Japan, Africa, France and other major international markets.
