The Scrapbook & Papercraft Expo is coming to Brisbane and bringing a league of accomplished papercraft tutors with the latest gadgets and supplies.

According to Craft Consultant, Judy Newman, the expo provides visitors with the opportunity to implement the latest papercraft trends, mingle with like-minded paper art enthusiasts and be inspired by the array of displays which showcase the beauty of papercraft.

“The Scrapbook & Papercraft Expo promises to deliver a weekend of papercraft paradise that will make the long journey for those travelling from New Zealand, remote parts of Australia and Asia well worth it,” says Ms Newman.

On top of providing Queenslanders with the leading papercraft retailers and experts from across Australia and overseas, the Scrapbook & Papercraft Expo is making a conscious effort to showcase local talent.

“It’s our intention to bring the best local talent together with the best ‘imports’ so we can present an exciting program to devotees and inspire and introduce newcomers,” she says.

The 16 tutors will collectively host 72 two-hour classes over the three-day expo, with 24 different class types. These
classes cater to all levels of crafters, and beginners will be given the guidance and support they need to produce something they otherwise wouldn’t have known they could.

“We create destination events that are the ideal weekend away for devotees and for people interested in acquiring some skills to get creative. Those in the craft community know this expo is the place to go to indulge in their passion for all things papercraft,” Ms Newman says.
