I think if the New Farm cinema and BMag want to promote an event like this they should provide all the details.
I took my 3 year old daughter thinking what a great idea only to be turned away because I had not booked a ticket and the cinema was full. I had also invited a friend to the event with his son. So it was embarrassing and disappointing for me and heart breaking for the kids. Be clear on your details and if there is a requirement to book for any of the events you advertise/organise let the public know. The ashier at the cinema was less than sympathetic and I think it was remiss of both the magazine and New Farm cinema to not mention this requirement.
Regards,
Jamie
Hi Jamie, thanks for getting in touch, and sorry to hear you missed out on seeing the film. Unfortunately, it’s a fact of life that cinemas have limited seats and can sell out – that’s why our event listing includes a link to the New Farm Cinemas website, where you can book tickets. (I should add here that this isn’t a paid ad and Bmag has absolutely nothing to do with organising this event; we just listed it here because it’s a local event that we thought might interest our readers.)
Disney Sundays are being held every weekend until June, so there should be plenty of tickets left for future weekends, if you’re still interested in attending. Tickets can be booked at http://www.newfarmcinemas.com.au.
