The Makers Club in association with the Brisbane BBQ Festival are bringing one of Australia’s top BBQ teams, The Shank Bros to host a number of demonstrations and samples at the Sunday Gourmet Markets at Westfield Chermside.
Mikey (pictured right) is your typical bloke with a passion for BBQ meats and is extremely hands on in his cooking demonstrations. The ‘low and slow’ concept creates a soft, tender texture and Mickey is very willing to share the easy tips in manning the grill and cooking meat to perfection.
Market goers will be able to take part in a FREE workshop and learn how to create delicious chicken wings and pork ribs, as well as a Memphis-style BBQ sauce. Multiple demonstrations and samples will be given throughout the day and flyers will be handed out with recipe’s and BBQ products available to buy at Westfield Chermside.
- 8:30am – Cedar Planked Hot Smoked Salmon, Dry Brined and Honey Glazed
- 10:30am – Coffee Rubbed, Oak Smoked, Frenched Lamb Racks
- 11:30am – Free Range Rosemary Smoked Rotisserie Charcoal Chickens
- 12:30pm – 8 hour, Cherry Smoked, House Rubbed Boston Butt Pulled Pork
