The Makers Club in association with the Brisbane BBQ Festival are bringing one of Australia’s top BBQ teams, The Shank Bros to host a number of demonstrations and samples at the Sunday Gourmet Markets at Westfield Chermside.

Mikey (pictured right) is your typical bloke with a passion for BBQ meats and is extremely hands on in his cooking demonstrations. The ‘low and slow’ concept creates a soft, tender texture and Mickey is very willing to share the easy tips in manning the grill and cooking meat to perfection.

Market goers will be able to take part in a FREE workshop and learn how to create delicious chicken wings and pork ribs, as well as a Memphis-style BBQ sauce. Multiple demonstrations and samples will be given throughout the day and flyers will be handed out with recipe’s and BBQ products available to buy at Westfield Chermside.

Program:

  • 8:30am – Cedar Planked Hot Smoked Salmon, Dry Brined and Honey Glazed
  • 10:30am – Coffee Rubbed, Oak Smoked, Frenched Lamb Racks
  • 11:30am – Free Range Rosemary Smoked Rotisserie Charcoal Chickens
  • 12:30pm – 8 hour, Cherry Smoked, House Rubbed Boston Butt Pulled Pork
