Japanese clothing giant UNIQLO has announced the launch date of its first Brisbane store — and it’s set to open just in time for Christmas.

Opening on Thursday 3 December at the redeveloped Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, the store will offer a full line-up of UNIQLO apparel and showcase its Spring/Summer 2015 collection including the brand’s well known AIRism range.

UNIQLO was established in Japan in 1984 and today has more than 1,600 stores worldwide, including stores in Belgium, China, France, Indonesia, Russia and the U.K. and U.S. After entering the Australian market in 2014, the company has since opened six stores here.

The Indooroopilly store is the first in UNIQLO’s plans to expand across Queensland, with a second Brisbane store planned to open at the iconic Queen Street Mall in early 2016.

UNIQLO is a brand of Fast Retailing Co.,Ltd, a Japanese retail holding company that designs, manufactures and sells clothing under seven main brand – Comptoir des Cotonniers, GU, Helmut Lang, J Brand, Princesse tam.tam, Theory, and UNIQLO.

From cashmere sweaters and dresses to seamless underwear and long johns, the company’s mission statement is that great clothes should be supremely comfortable, feature universal designs, be of high quality and offer a superb fit to everyone who wears them. Sounds good to us!

UNIQLO Indooroopilly is set to open on Thursday 3 December at the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, 322 Moggill Road. Christmas shopping, here we come!
