Japanese clothing giant UNIQLO is set to open its first Queensland stores in Brisbane this summer.
The two new stores, to be located in the Brisbane CBD and Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, come as part of UNIQLO’s commitment to expanding its presence in Australia.
Established in Japan in 1984, today UNIQLO has more than 1,500 stores worldwide. After entering the Australian market in 2014, the company has opened six stores here (two in Melbourne and four in Sydney).
From cashmere sweaters and dresses to seamless underwear and long johns, the company’s mission statement is that great clothes should be supremely comfortable, feature universal designs, are of high quality and offer a superb fit to everyone who wears them.
The Brisbane CBD store will be located at 170 Queen St with a total sales floor area of 2,054 square metres. The Indooroopilly store will be located on Level 2 of the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre with a total sales floor area of approximately 489 square metres.
UNIQLO is a brand of Fast Retailing Co., Ltd, a Japanese retail holding company that designs, manufactures and sells clothing under seven main brands — Comptoir des Cotonniers, GU, Helmut Lang, J Brand, Princesse tam.tam, Theory, and UNIQLO.
Opening dates for the two Queensland stores have yet to be announced.
