If you’re reading this, it means you haven’t got the KardBlock browser extension. What are you waiting for?
Finally, there’s a solution for those of you who don’t want Kim Kardashian to break your internet.
Kim and the Kardashian/Jenner clan are, by far, the most ubiquitous celebs on the internet. If you spend virtually any time online at all, they’re impossible to avoid, no matter what you think of them.
Well, a new web browser extension has been created to help Kardashian haters avoid any mention of America’s first family online. It’s called KardBlock, and it claims to be able to completely insulate you from the reality TV juggernauts.
“If there’s anything on your newsfeed, the website you’re on, whatever… we simply make it disappear,” the KardBlock site promises. “You won’t ever know the stories about the Kardashians are there, because you won’t ever see them. We are also working on customisation to block content related to Justin Bieber. Why? So you can see more of the real issues.”
So, there you go — instead of whinging about the unwelcome presence of Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kris, Bruce, Kendall and Kylie in your newsfeed, now you can just delete them from your life altogether.
Whether or not you should do it is another question altogether. A lot of people seem to be coming around on Kim — her pride in her curves has no doubt had a positive and healthy influence on plenty of women, and when she described her nude shoot in Paper Magazine as a chance to feel confident about herself after her pregnancy, it made her seem more relatable. Her sensitive and respectful response to stepfather Bruce Jenner’s very public gender transition has also been admirable.
Oh, and there are plenty of people who think she’s just, well, hot.
Still, if you’ve seen enough of her and her family to last you a lifetime, now you have the option to do something about it.
