Fashionistas rejoice! The newly revamped Valley Markets, recognised as a destination for fostering start-ups and local designers, will be holding a suitcase rummage every weekend.
The iconic Valley Markets have re-opened and they are looking good. As one of Brisbane’s most established markets, selling everything from accessories, fashion, arts, craft, handmade and food, this has been a regular weekend experience for many Brisbane locals.
One of Brisbane’s first markets established over 20 years ago, the Valley Markets has seen some of Brisbane’s best designers set up stalls, displays and samples in the early stages.
However the new markets will focus on more on handmade, designer, art, fashion, vintage, second hand style, accessories, emerging and all things up and coming in the fashion world.
So in light of this, the new Fortitude Valley Markets will be holding a ‘suitcase rummage’ every weekend! To support these upcoming designers, free spaces will be offered to all fashion and arts students, as well as start-up businesses for the remainder of 2014 so get your applications in quick!
Bring along up to three suitcases and set up your wares in a 3mx3m space along the Brunswick St Mall and into Licorice Lane. Click here to apply for your stall. Or contact via email — firstname.lastname@example.org — or phone 0481176332.
There will be 25 free spaces and 70 spaces in total. Cost for a regular space is $30/site. The markets will be open every Saturday from 9am – 4pm and every Sunday from 9am – 3pm.
