A High Tea Fashion Fundraiser will be held this Saturday 9 August to raise much needed funds for The Leniata Legacy.
The Leniata Legacy is a Queensland organisation that advocates against gender-based violence that affects 2 in 3 women in Papua New Guinea. This unique event will include a fashion show showcasing specifically Papua New Guinea and Pacific fashion designers, models, photographers, make-up artists and fashion artists who are making their Australian debut.
Labels that will be showcased include Auvita from Papua New Guinea, Petelo Enele from Samoa, Lepou from Tonga, Dee’elle from Fiji, Sharon Brissoni from Papua New Guinea and S.J.K from South Sudan, Africa.
The High Tea Fashion Fundraiser will be an intimate social occasion and will include keynote speeches from Fiji Fashion Week Managing Director Ellen Whippy-Knight and former Miss Papua New Guinea runner up and Olympian Ann Mooney,
Tickers are available online and all funds raised at the High Tea Fashion Fundraiser will facilitate The Leniata Legacy’s Empowerment Program held at a small community school. The high tea event will create sustainable economic solutions for men and women of Papua New Guinea and the Pacific . It will also create an opportunity for Pacific islanders to showcase their talents through fashion design, modeling and beauty.
