Ermenegildo Zegna arrives in Brisbane….

Zegna’s Aussie ties

While prestige menswear retailer Ermenegildo Zegna has its heritage in Italy, the brand has been a supporter of the Australian merino wool industry since the 1930s. This year the brand partnered with Alice Springs-based indigenous artist Dorothy Napangardi to fashion her dot painting Salt 2008 into ties and pochettes in the Australian Collaboration Collection (pictured on actor Chris Hemsworth above). Available exclusively at Ermenegildo Zegna’s first Queensland store which opened recently in Edward Street, city, and at David Jones.

Wrap it up

Brisbane-based online beachy boutique Blue Bungalow believes in summer all-year-‘round but concedes some layering is necessary as a buffer against cooler temperatures. To counter the chill they have released a range of cardigans and soft scarves, like this graphic black and white Chevron Aztek wrap cardi (above). RRP$69.

Middle eastern exotic

Israeli artist Ayala Bar’s new range of jewellery features glass beads, mineral stones and crystal rhinestones crafted into intricate earrings, necklaces and wrist pieces. Exclusive to Kellies Antiques, Brisbane Arcade, city. Enquiries call 3221 4825.

Step out in brogues

Gotta love an affordable wardrobe update. These smart brogues by Emerson at BigW are just RRP$25 and are on-trend for winter as a complement to a preppy look (pleated skirts, blazers, man-style tailored suits and shirts) in a go-with-anything neutral colour.
