The world’s 10 most beloved landmarks have just been revealed – and they’re definitely worth putting on your bucket list!
As part of the 2016 Travelers’ Choice Awards, TripAdvisor has ranked the world’s 10 most beloved landmarks.
The top 10 list was put together by measuring the quantity and quality of reviews over the past year, and features landmarks like Machu Picchu in Peru, Milan Duomo in Italy and the Taj Mahal in India.
“These landmarks attract millions of visitors each year and represent some of the world’s most impressive examples of human ingenuity,” TripAdvisor’s Chief Marketing Officer, Barbara Messsing, said in a statement.
Believe it or not, Australia didn’t crack the top 10 (the Australian War Memorial in Canberra was our highest ranked entrant, coming in at number 23). But that’s okay — that just means you’ll need to travel a little further afield to tick all these items off your list.
