Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) has unveiled three new Star Wars-inspired additions to its already colourful fleet.

In the wake of the company’s Hello Kitty and Pokémon-themed members of the fleet, releasing a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner designed to look like R2-D2, a 777-300ER dressed as a BB-8 droid from the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens and a jet adorned with the iconic Star Wars logo seemed like the logical next step.

These new additions have also served as another way of showcasing ANA’s flawless attention to detail.  Just like their Hello Kitty counterparts, the Star Wars jets will boast headrest covers, napkins, cutlery, plates and cups designed to immerse passengers in the world of the immortal sci-fi franchise.

Star Wars buffs can expect to board these planes for the first time between October and November, when they go into operation both domestically and internationally.
