It’s a beautiful day, the sun is shining and the birds are singing. You want to head to the beach, but which one? Try Currumbin!
With so many wonderful stretches of sand on the Gold Coast it can be hard to decide – here’s our reasons to venture a bit further south to Currumbin, which has more to offer than just surf and sand…
1. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
With hundreds of native Australian animals on display in natural bushland and rainforest settings, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary provides a rare opportunity to see and experience our amazing native wildlife. A place where you can enjoy exciting interactive displays, presentations and dining experiences. Nestled within 27 hectares of lush eucalypt and rainforest, each day brings visitors face to face with extraordinary wildlife in shows and encounters. Cuddle a koala, get up close to a crocodile, get amongst a mob of kangaroos or check out reptiles, birds and marsupials in amazing wildlife shows and displays.
2.Currumbin Rock Pools
Located just a ten minute drive from Currumbin Beach, the Currumbin Rock Pools is a gem of the Currumbin Valley. There are large grassy banks, perfect for rolling out that picnic rug, or for the kids to have a run around. Everything is here for a great relaxing day with family and friends – shelter, picnic tables, barbeques, toilets and amenities and of course the beautiful rock pools. If you don’t feel like taking lunch or snacks along, there is a cafe conveniently located directly across the road.
3. Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Life Saving Club
Enjoy one of the best views on the Gold Coast at the Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Life Saving Club, on a deck that sits out over the ocean. Award winning head chef Adrian Esposito and his talented team offer a very clever blend of bistro favourites and stunning, contemporary Australian cuisine.
