Just when you thought it was safe to ‘Let It Go’, Disney has announced a release date for the sequel to Frozen.

The sequel to the 2013 animated smash will be released on November 27, 2019, with voice actors Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad returning to their roles.

The sequel will be released exactly six years on from the original, meaning that some young Frozen fanatics might have aged out of their fandom by then — but we’re sure it’ll make a mint at the box office anyway.

Disney also announced that director Jon Favreau’s live-action remake of The Lion King — featuring the voices of Donald Glover and James Earl Jones — will be released on July 19, 2019.

Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2, the sequel to 2012’s Wreck-It Ralph, has secured a November 21, 2018 release date (this is actually a delay — the film had previously been announced for March 9, 2018).

As well as announcing release dates for their upcoming animated films, Disney also dropped dates for two major Lucasfilm blockbusters today.

Star Wars: Episode IX, from Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow, will conclude the Star Wars sequel trilogy on May 24, 2019, and the fifth Indiana Jones film will reunite Harrison Ford and director Steven Spielberg on July 13, 2020.

The Episode IX date is significant, because it means the May 25, 2018 release date for next year’s Han Solo spin-off movie isn’t a one-off — they really are moving the Star Wars films out of the December release window that worked so well for The Force Awakens and Rogue One, just as the franchise was becoming synonymous with Christmas.

So, there you go — if your kids have been asking you when the next Frozen movie is coming out, now you’ve got an answer for them. Just don’t expect them to wait patiently…
