Australia’s godfather of Turkish cuisine is paying a visit to Brisbane.
Ben Williamson will welcome Somer Sivrioglu, the man behind popular Sydney restaurants Efendy and Anason, to Gerard’s Bistro this week.
Born in Istanbul, Sivrioglu grew up working at his mother’s restaurant, where he developed his love for (and understanding of) Turkish cuisine.
Today, he has a reputation throughout Australia as a respected chef, restaurateur and author.
At Gerard’s Bistro, he’ll be serving up a four-course shared banquet of recipes from his popular cookbook, Anatolia, matched with a selection of beverages.
As an added bonus, he’ll also be signing copies of his cookbook, which will be available for purchase from Scrumptious Reads.
A Night with Somer Sivrioglu will be held at Gerard’s Bistro (15 James Street, Fortitude Valley) this Thursday 22 June from 6:30pm. Bookings cost $150 per person and can be reserved by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 3852 3822.
