This has to be one of the best uses of a deep fryer that we’ve ever seen.

The team at The Flying Cock in Fortitude Valley have jumped right to the top of our Easter wish list with their deep-fried Cadbury Crème Eggs, available for one weekend only.

The eggcelent dessert features two Crème Eggs, which are then wrapped in cake batter and fried, until the batter is golden on the outside and the egg is gloriously gooey on the inside.

In case that wasn’t decadent enough, the fried Crème Egg is then served on a bed of chocolate soil with burnt toffee ice cream and edible flowers.

Just take a look at the masters at work in the kitchen and tell us you’re not drooling.

There’s only going to be 100 of these deep-fried Crème Eggs available for sale between now and Easter Sunday, and then they’re going away forever — or, at least, until next Easter.
