The best craft beers from New Zealand will be on offer at three Queensland bars this weekend.
New Zealand’s best independent breweries will put their wares on show at three south-east Queensland venues this weekend.
If the idea of a ‘symposium’ sounds a bit highfalutin’ to you, don’t worry — it’s really just an attempt to class up the occasion by calling it something other than a massive booze festival.
But rest assured, there’ll be no lectures and Powerpoint presentations here; just beer.
Brews on offer across the three venues will include 8 Wired Brewing‘s SuperDank IPA, Superconductor Imperial IPA and Lord of the Atlas Oak Aged Barley Wine, Hop Federation‘s Green Limousine NZIPA 50L, Liberty Brewing Company‘s C!tra IIPA, Hoptical Illusion XXPA and Yakima Monster APA, Deep Creek Brewing Co‘s Long White Cloudy IPA and Gin & Lime IPA, Garage Project‘s Garagista Pale Ale and Pils n Thrils Pilsner, Epic Beer‘s Hop Zombie Imperial IPA and St Luke Milestone Ale IPA, and Yeastie Boys‘ Big Mouth Session IPA.
The first 250 pints of Kiwi craft beer purchased at the event will come with the chance to win a trip for two to New Zealand and entry to their biggest beer festival, Beervana.
The NZ Craft Beer Symposium will be held at Tippler’s Tap (5/182 Grey Street, South Brisbane), Bloodhound Bar (454 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley) and Black Bunny Kitchen (180 Alexandra Parade, Alexandra Headland) this Wednesday 1 February to Monday 6 February.
