Portside Wharf will celebrate its 10th birthday al fresco style, with a picnic party featuring food, drink and live entertainment.
Picnic on the Wharf will be held on October 15 and 16 and will see the riverside location transform into a picnic garden complete with turf, comfy furniture and a whole range of picnic foods.
Restaurants will serve up $10 picnic packs featuring oysters, prawns, burgers, pizzas and much more.
Food carts will be roaming the picnic grounds and a speciality Portside Passion Martini has been created in celebration of this iconic Brisbane location.
Portside Wharf portfolio manager, Greg Hefferan says Brisbane is developing a reputation for fabulous outdoor events and that Portside Wharf is a perfect location for any al fresco celebration.
“Portside’s picnic on the wharf is a chance to celebrate with family and friends while we pay homage to the fantastic restaurants and retailers that have made Portside Wharf one of Brisbane’s best precincts over the last 10 years,” he said.
“With the backdrop of the Brisbane River it will be the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed afternoon of fine food, cold drinks and live entertainment.
“Visitors are invited to sample everything Portside Wharf has to offer, from fresh seafood and homemade desserts, to the latest in men’s fashion and even Pilates classes – all for $10.
“There will also be great deals on fashion, health and beauty and even some special treats for the youngsters with face painting and balloon twisting in the kid’s entertainment area.”
Portside will also be hosting a ‘Taste of Portside’ dining experience on Thursday 6 October and Thursday 13 October.
A showcase of four of Portside’s original restaurants, ‘Taste of Portside’ will give guests different courses from Moda Events, Sono Japanese Restaurant, Gusto da Gianni and Byblos Bar.
Tickets for ‘Taste of Portside’ are $110 and bookings are essential. For tickets visit http://www.eventbrite.com/e/a-taste-of-portside-tickets-27562094968
