Brisbane will host a new vegan festival in Davies Park this weekend.
Hosted by the Vegetarian/Vegan Society of Queensland (VVSQ), the first BrisVegan Fest will showcase the vegan lifestyle in Brisbane.
It’s a celebration of life and living cruelty-free, and whether you’re a vegan, vegetarian, or just veg-curious, you’re invited to come along and try new products, support local charities, learn something new and meet new people.
You’ll be able to browse market stalls and food and drink vendors, enjoy live music (headlined by indie pop duo Love Like Hate) and children’s entertainment, hear inspiring speakers, engage with cooking demonstrations and workshops, watch fashion shows, and even get involved in open mic sessions.
Featured exhibitors include the Australian School of Meditation and Yoga; Cat Cuddle Cafe; vegan-friendly jeweller Akasha Creative; and the Foodmill wholesale bakery.
BrisVegan Fest will be held at South Leagues Club (Davies Park, West End) this Sunday 4 September from 8am to 3pm. For more information, visit brisveganfest.com.au.
