What were you doing before you got your food truck? What’s your background in food?

I worked in construction as a steel fixer/concreter. I have had no formal training in food but I have eaten a lot.

What’s the most popular item on your menu?

Our ribs, they are smoked until they fall off the bone.

What’s your favourite item on the menu?

Brisket at the moment.

Which suburbs do you usually operate in? Where’s your most popular stop?

Carina, Morningside, Chermside, but we’re always on the lookout for more locations. Our most popular spot is Milton every Thursday lunch time.

How do most people find out about your truck?

Word of mouth and social media.

Why do you think food trucks have become so popular?

Food trucks are a small business that rely on repeat business so the food has to be good; I think people know truck food is going to be made with love, well priced and nice. It ticks all the boxes for a casual meal.

Do you harbour any dreams of opening a brick-and-mortar restaurant?

Sure do, and we have! We opened our spin-off to the truck in Carina called Getta Burger. We are currently looking for another fixed outlet as well, north side maybe….
