Robertson is 13km south of Brisbane CBD. It was officially named in July 1967 in memory of Dr William Nathaniel Robertson who was a member of the University of Queensland (UQ) senate. It is one of several suburbs near UQ that are linked to the history of the University, including those of Robertson, Macgregor and Griffith.
