Get directions

The name of the suburb, chosen by the Railways Department in the 1930s for the Kagaru Railway Station, is the Aboriginal word for the Blue Winged Kookaburra. The locality was officially named and bounded in 1997, and later re-gazetted in 2009 due to the council amalgamations.
