The old Balmoral Bowls Club is set to house the growing African population as their new community outreach.
The recent closure of the Bowls Club in Morningside has left the Queensland African Community Council (QACC) with a new space to call home.
The QACC was established in 2005 due to issues surrounding the African community, and was recognized as a community-driven support net for individuals of African descent.
Since the opening of the first QACC at East Brisbane Bowls Club in November 2011, their have been plans to use the space for more recreational community events.
The QACC is planning on hosting more local events, spurred on by the success of the Africa Day Festival just passed.
