The most recent Brisbane City Council budget has planned for a new gold course in Brisbane’s south.
Brisbane will get a new 18-hole golf course by 2018.
The new golf course, revealed in Wednesday’s 2014-15 Brisbane City Council budget, will be built at Cannon Hill, when an old landfill site at 1825 Creek Road is rehabilitated, Lord Mayor Graham Quirk said.
As a part of the new Brisbane City Council Budget, a new 18-hole public gold course has been planned for Cannon Hill.
The plans also include a residential development, however, it is not yet clear whether it will be connected to the golf course.
The recent budget confirmed that the golf course is set to be built upon an old landfill site at 1825 Creek Road once it is rehabilitated,
It will cost the Brisbane City Council $5.2 million to rehabilitate the Cannon Hills Community Links site to become the golf course.
