The folks at Disney have unveiled the final trailer for their live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, and it looks pretty special.
As you can see from the drop-dead gorgeous visuals on show in this trailer, director Bill Condon has recreated some of the most loved scenes from the 1991 animated classic in live-action.
But he’s also dropping in a few surprises, including three new songs written by Alan Menken and Tim Rice (who also wrote the songs for the 1991 film), one of which will be sung by Celine Dion, of all people.
The film will also feature a new backstory for Belle. She’s not just a bookworm anymore — she’s also the inventor of a new kind of washing machine (in order to give herself more time to read books).
Beauty and the Beast — starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen, Stanley Tucci, Audra McDonald and Emma Thompson — will be in cinemas from Thursday 23 March.
