April 24 will feel so near, and yet so far, after you watch this sneak peek from the sixth season of Game of Thrones.
The new footage makes one thing clear — somebody’s going to die. But then, on a show like Game of Thrones, that’s a given.
The brief teaser is narrated by Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion Lannister.
“Are you afraid? You should be,” he intones. “You’re in the great game now. And the great game is terrifying.”
Meanwhile, Jaquen H’ghar (Tom Wlaschiha) promises that “one way or another, a face will be added to the hall”, which sounds ominous, and The High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce) isn’t pulling any punches: “We deserve death… we all do.”
The clip also includes new footage of the Night’s King, the leader of the White Walkers, surrounded by flames, and a new shot of Drogon, the dragon, flying over the Dothraki clan holding Daenerys captive.
Season six of Game of Thrones debuts on Sunday 24 April, and it can’t come soon enough.
