A woman used a mop to defend herself during an armed home invasion in Brisbane.
Police say two men, one armed with a baseball bat, entered a house at outer suburban Durack about 3.30am (AEST).
The intruders struck a 31-year-old male occupant in the head with the bat.
They then also assaulted a 21-year-old woman, who used a mop to fight off her attackers.
The two men searched the house before leaving through the back door empty handed.
The male occupant was taken to hospital with head injuries, while the woman sustained only a minor neck injury.
A 48-year-old woman and a two-year-old child were also in the home, but were not physically harmed during the incident.
