Aussie rocker Jimmy Barnes will celebrate his 30-year career with a national tour in October.

Barnesy is back and he’s going on the road.

Jimmy Barnes is celebrating 30 years in the music business with a tour and an album, just to keep his fans doubly pleased.

The former Cold Chisel frontman already announced A Day On The Green performance and a special guest slot supporting The Rolling Stones in Adelaide.

Barnes has released 13 solo albums and 14 top 40 albums with Cold Chisel in his 30-year career.

His special anniversary album 30:30 Hindsight revisits some of his hits with collaborations including Keith Urban, Bernard Fanning, Shihad, Tina Arena, Baby Animals and Jon Stevens.

“I wanted to do something special for the 30th anniversary. There was talk of a tribute album, but that idea would have taken me out of the picture. So then I thought of a much better idea – I’ll get all my favourite artists and sing with them,” Barnes said.

The two time ARIA Hall of Fame inductee (with Cold Chisel in 1993 and as a solo artist in 2005) will head out on the road this October.

*30:30 Hindsight will be released on August 29 through Liberation Music.
