English international centre Jack Reed has been recalled to the Broncos starting side but moved to the wing for Friday’s NRL clash with Manly.
The Brisbane Broncos have recalled stood-down players Jack Reed and Daniel Vidot to their starting backline for Friday night’s NRL clash with Manly.
Broncos coach Anthony Griffin has backed Reed’s experience and Vidot’s firepower for the important match, dropping last-start wingers Lachlan Maranta and Jordan Kahu.
English international Reed, a regular at left centre for Brisbane, will play out of position on the right wing and mark the dangerous Jorge Taufua at Brookvale Oval.
Dale Copley’s good form for three tries against the Warriors and Melbourne has seen him keep his place at centre for the eighth-placed side.
Reed, Vidot and utility Corey Oates were axed from the Broncos side to play the Warriors a fortnight ago for a late night out drinking.
Reed and Oates returned to the bench in the 30-8 loss to Melbourne, the Broncos’ fourth defeat in their past five matches.
Out of favour prop Martin Kennedy has again missed a place on the Brisbane bench.
