Newcastle Jets’ new striker Jeronimo has made an instant impact, scoring four goals in 23 minutes on debut for the A-League club in a pre-season friendly.
The Argentine attacker’s feats came in an 8-1 win for the Jets against NSW third-tier club Weston Bears on Wednesday night.
Jeronimo, who departed Adelaide United for the Jets, scored four goals from the 54th minute of the encounter.
And his feat was matched by Brisbane Roar star Henrique, who also scored four times as the reigning A-League champion defeated local Brisbane outfit Moreton Bay United on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, Western Sydney Wanderers found the going tougher in their Wednesday night friendly against Canberra United, winning 1-0.
