An engineering issue caused a Tigerair flight from Brisbane to Melbourne to be diverted to Sydney as a precautionary measure.
A Tigerair flight from Brisbane to Melbourne has been diverted to Sydney after crew identified an engineering issue.
The airline says the plane departed Brisbane at 9.50am (AEST) and landed in Sydney without incident just before midday.
“The captain took the appropriate action to divert to Sydney where the aircraft is undergoing an engineers’ assessment,” Tigerair said in a statement.
Tiger has offered passengers free transfers to other flights.
