A man accused of reversing a four-wheel drive at a police officer during an incident in Brisbane has been remanded in custody.
A man who is accused of driving a car at a police officer has faced a Brisbane court charged with attempted murder.
Darryl Reg Hayes, 31, is facing several charges including attempted murder and acts intended to cause bodily harm following the incident at Holland Park, in Brisbane’s south, early on Monday.
Hayes faced the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday following his arrest and has been remanded in custody.
It’s alleged Hayes reversed a 4WD at an officer after police tried to intercept the vehicle.
A male officer fired his gun at the vehicle, with at least six shots hitting the car.
Hayes is also facing unrelated charges of robbery, stealing and driving offences.
The matter has been adjourned until August 25.
