A man is fighting for his life after a highway smash involving three cars west of Brisbane.
It took emergency workers two hours to free the 60-year-old from the wreckage after his vehicle slammed into another car travelling in the opposite direction.
A third vehicle was clipped in the collision, which police say happened about 9.30am (AEST) on the New England Highway just north of Crows Nest.
The man has been airlifted by helicopter to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
