From Gerard Butler to skinny models and a python called Candy, Australian Fashion Week was a memorable event on the fashion calendar.
“Daarhlings, I’ll see you in London”.
And with that the fashionista hopped into a black Mercedes-Benz and sped away from Australian Fashion Week.
Show spaces were dismantled and models packed uneaten snacks in their bags on Friday as the event came to a close after five days of air kisses, catwalk action and celebrity sightings.
From actor Gerard Butler to a yellow python named Candy, this year’s fashion week held at Sydney’s Carriageworks was a memorable one.
Unusually fickle Sydney weather had stylists, bloggers, models and celebrities – who change their outfits up to three times a day – frantically reworking their clothing plan by the hour.
Some simply did not have time to keep up with the weather.
“My forehead is moist,” panicked one male attendee. “But I simply can’t take this bomber jacket off.”
The fashion pack are now heading back to homes in Melbourne, London, Milan, Paris, New York and Sydney, after a series of frenetic catwalk shows led by Carla Zampatti, Alex Perry, Ellery, By Johnny, Toni Maticevski, Alice McCall, Dion Lee and others.
