Two Queensland men have been charged with attempted murder after they allegedly ran down a police officer to avoid a breath test.
Two men will face court on Monday, charged with trying to murder a police officer by mowing him down with their car.
The officer was breath testing motorists at Ipswich, west of Brisbane, on Sunday afternoon when one vehicle refused to stop.
Instead it accelerated and hit him, leaving him with serious leg and arm injuries.
The car was found abandoned nearby shortly afterwards.
Police later charged two men, aged 20 and 23, with attempted murder, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and attempting to pervert justice.
They are expected to face Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday.
