Queensland criminologist Paul Wilson, who is charged with child sex offences, will return to court in May after his committal hearing was adjourned.
Two women who claim they were indecently dealt with by a prominent Queensland criminologist 40 years ago must wait to learn if he will be ordered to stand trial.
Former head of criminology at the Gold Coast’s Bond University Paul Wilson appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday and Tuesday.
The 73-year-old faces six charges of indecently dealing with girls under 17 in the 1970s.
Four witnesses were to testify during the two-day hearing, which is to determine whether the academic should be committed to trial.
However, both days were taken up by the evidence of the first witness, who is one of the complainants.
The hearing was adjourned to May 1, which is the next available court date.
