A court hearing will determine whether an academic from Queensland will stand trial over claims he indecently treated two girls in the 1970s.
A former Queensland university professor has appeared in court on charges of indecently treating girls 40 years ago.
The 73-year-old is facing a committal hearing in the Brisbane Magistrates Court to decide whether he should stand trial.
He faces six charges of indecent treatment of girls under 17 over alleged incidents involving two girls in the 1970s.
Four witnesses, including two alleged victims and a detective, are expected to give evidence.
On Monday afternoon the court was closed to the public while one of the alleged victims testified.
The hearing has been set down for two days but could take longer.
