A police officer required 11 stitches after a teenage girl allegedly slashed his hand with a shard of glass in southeast Queensland.
The male constable has also been treated for a suspected dislocated knee and possible disease exposure following the incident at Ipswich, west of Brisbane.
Police say the attack happened after officers approached a girl on Hancock Street, around 12.40pm on Monday.
They allege the teen became aggressive and threatened police with a shard of glass which she then used to strike the hand of the male constable.
Police are questioning a 16-year-old girl over the incident, but say investigations are ongoing.
